Zero Waste Week & Forum Teaser Trailer

EXPLORE EDUCATION, NETWORKING, AND SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES

The Zero Waste Forum Experience

Join Race to Zero Waste (R20W) and partners for the Zero Waste Forum. The event is an opportunity to collaborate and network with local, national, and global zero waste practitioners. The event program builds on conversations around the International Day of Zero Waste, which has been declared by the United Nations Environment Department as March 30th. Zero Waste Week will feature engaging workshops, networking, a beach cleanup, an award ceremony, sustainability tours, and expert speakers.

The Zero Waste Forum is an extension of R20W’s mission to foster discussions that build an equitable and accessible circular economy. The Zero Waste Forum is a platform to discuss and address the challenges of the next decade, bringing together diverse voices for conversations on equity, accessibility, and environmental impact.

The Forum will be a hybrid event, available for online participation on April 1st & 2nd.

Who is Race to Zero Waste?

Meet the Host

Race to Zero Waste is a woman-founded and -run 501(c)(3) environmental conservation non-profit organization dedicated to reducing consumption, implementing reuse, and promoting an equitable circular economy. The Race to Zero Waste is an urgent call to reduce waste in all sectors. The impact of zero waste efforts on the environment and global greenhouse gas emissions is significant, and with the urgency of climate change, it has never been more critical to take action.

In 2024 alone, Race to Zero Waste employed over 50 Zero Waste Trainees, conducted outreach at over 20 Zero Waste Pop-ups, implemented reusables at a university in California, provided SB: 1383 compliance for two municipalities, conducted 8 waste audits, diverted over 100 tons of waste from landfills, reached over 57,000 accounts on social media, and educated over 85,000 people at events and in public spaces.

Race to Zero Waste is an affiliate of the Zero Waste International Alliance (ZWIA) and follows the organization's peer-reviewed definition of zero waste.
