The Zero Waste Forum will feature engaging expert speakers, a sustainability tour, Zero Waste Expo, youth led toxic-free living workshop, networking, an award ceremony and much more.

The Zero Waste Forum is a platform to address the challenges of the next decade, bringing together diverse stakeholders to explore scalable, equitable, collaborative solutions that support circular economy goals across communities, businesses, and municipalities.

Who is Race to Zero Waste?

Meet the Host

Race to Zero Waste is a woman-founded and -run 501(c)(3) environmental conservation non-profit organization dedicated to reducing consumption, implementing reuse, and promoting an equitable circular economy. The Race to Zero Waste is an urgent call to reduce waste in all sectors. The impact of zero waste efforts on the environment and global greenhouse gas emissions is significant, and with the urgency of climate change, it has never been more critical to take action.

In 2025 alone, Race to Zero Waste employed over 50 Zero Waste Trainees, conducted outreach at over 20 Zero Waste Pop-ups, implemented reusables at a university in California, provided SB: 1383 compliance for two municipalities, conducted 8 waste audits, diverted over 100 tons of waste from landfills, reached over 57,000 accounts on social media, and educated over 85,000 people at events and in public spaces.

Race to Zero Waste is an affiliate of the Zero Waste International Alliance (ZWIA) and follows the organization's peer-reviewed definition of zero waste.

This year’s Zero Waste Forum will explore:

  • Innovative food waste rescue and diversion programs powered by public, private, and nonprofit partnerships, emphasizing collaboration over regulatory mandates
  • Strengthen and empower indigenous voices in the zero waste movement
  • Viable reusable systems for food service, lodging, and outdoor recreation
  • Reuse infrastructure and the coordination needed to make it happen at a local level
  • Supporting and growing green businesses in a circular, tourism-based economy
  • Work with youth led advocacy to organize a workshop
  • Provide practical solutions to waste reduction efforts in Park City and the region
